All the Tings: A Soft Launch Into My Influence Era
Let’s just call it what it is — I’ve been the unofficial plug for years. Now I’m finally owning it.
Recently, I put a name to what I’ve always done: procurement specialist. That might sound corporate, but trust — this is the creative, curated, cool-auntie version of the role. I’ve got the eye, the instinct, the resourcefulness. Whether it’s a book, a mop, a serum, or a sketchbook — I find the thing, fall in love with the thing, and then everybody wants the thing.
One of my best friends once introduced me like this:
“You know all the cool shit you see in my house? That’s her. Kesia finds it, I buy it.”
Honestly? Accurate.
I have another girlfriend who, every time we’re in the same city, snatches my phone and scrolls through my Amazon orders like it’s a curated boutique.
“Wait, what’s this brush?”
“I need this light.”
“Add this to my cart.”
I’ve moved vacuums like they’re hotcakes. That vacuum/mop combo I swear by? I didn’t just talk about it — I moved units. My mom, my bestie, two sisters, an aunt, a girlfriend — all mopping floors with joy now.
Then there’s SEE Eyewear — I’ve been a customer since 2001. I found the store and fell in love. Now? It’s a family affair. My mom, three sisters, two nieces, my mom’s husband, my daughter, an ex-boyfriend and his wife, and multiple old friends — all rocking SEE frames because I couldn’t shut up about them. That’s influence. And it’s never been performative. It’s personal.
This isn’t about selling you things.
This is about sharing the good-good — the things that make life smoother, more beautiful, more efficient, more you.
It’s about taste with intention.
And if that helps pay a few bills while I do what I’ve always done for free? Even better.
This is the soft launch. I’ll be updating this space slowly and intentionally as I play in the affiliate world, gather more tings, and build out this corner of the internet. If you’ve ever texted me “Where’d you get that?”, this page is for you.
Let’s see what happens.
